Following Sienna Miller's rather public and revealing affair with Balthazar Getty, the 33-year-old billionaire is said to have left the blonde actress high and dry in New York, as he jetted back to his wife in Los Angeles.

Sources claim that Getty has not yet, in so many words, told Miller that their relationship is over, but that he only said that he is going back home for work-related purposes, and also to see his four children.

According to rumours, Rosetta Getty — Balthazar's wife of eight years — is prepared to take him back, but there are also claims that Miller has been sending numerous text messages and making many phonecalls in an effort to get the oil heir to change his mind about reconciling with his wife.

It is said that Getty, who receives ongoing counselling for a former drug addiction and alcoholism, became enthralled by Sienna when he started drinking again and stopped attending his therapy sessions. He now, however, realises the error of his ways.

"He realises he's made a terrible mistake," explained a source.

"He is trying to keep Sienna at arm's length and hasn’t told her it is over yet, so she is going frantic and is planning to go to LA herself as she believes she can win him back if they have a face-to-face meeting."

With something of a history of being the 'other woman' — Sienna also started dating fellow actor Jude Law while he was still married to Sadie Frost — the actress isn't doing herself any favours with regards to her career, as she has already been dubbed Serial Miller by gossip columnists.
