President Jacob Zuma has sent his condolences to the family of slain Jozi FM DJ Mandla Hlatshwayo.
The former actor was gunned down along with his friend Oupa Duma outside a pub in Soweto on Sunday night while trying to help two women who had been robbed.
Police have arrested four people in connection with the crime and confiscated a firearm and drugs.
Police Minister Fikile Mbalula's spokesperson Vuyo Mhaga said: “We applaud the police for the work that they have done. The partnership between the police and the community is key in fighting crime. We can’t be prisoners of criminality.”
