David and Victoria Beckham seem to have woken up from their American dream to find themselves at a loss regarding their future in the country.

The high-profile couple, who moved to the US a year ago when David signed up to football team LA Galaxy and Victoria was keen to launch her career as a fashion icon, are reportedly at odds over their failure to make the Beckham brand a success in the States.

A source said in The Daily Star: "Even with all their cash, it appears the La-La Land dream has finally soured. They are finding out that money can't buy you good friends, publicity — or personal happiness."

Reports have also emerged that David has taken to driving around Hollywood alone at night, in a bid to clear his head and get some "breathing space". However, Victoria is said to be furious over her husband's evening outings, which has caused tension in their marriage.

The insider confirmed: "Victoria was livid when she found out that David had been driving around Hollywood without a bodyguard. The very thought made her sick with worry.

"He would never put her or the children at risk but she wants him to understand that he needs to look after his own safety too."

Despite rumours of strife in their relationship, Posh's spokesperson denies that there is trouble in paradise.

He said: "David and Victoria are very happy with both their personal and professional lives."
