Lindsay Lohan has finally put an end to the circulating rumours about her sexual orientation, confirming she is indeed in a relationship with UK DJ Samantha Ronson.
The lesbian couple has been avoiding the public eye since last year, but were spotted looking rather cosy together on a yacht during the Cannes festival in May, sparking rumours they are dating.
While celebrating her 22nd birthday on 2 July, Lohan admitted how much she cared for Sam, saying: "I just want to live a happy healthy year, continue on the path that I've been on, and be with the person that I care about. And my family."
Samantha, sister of music producer Mark Ronson, even posted a pic of her and Lindsay kissing on her MySpace page.
A close friend confided: "Sam and Lindsay are inseparable, Sam has been a really good influence on Lindsay. There is no one else special in Lindsay's life apart from Sam but it has taken her a while to feel like she can talk about her relationship.
"Lindsay hasn't dated any men since she's been hanging around with Sam and there has hardly been a day in the last two months when they have been apart. It's really sweet that Lindsay has found someone she can rely on and trust."
Ronson has already begun working on Lindsay's new album, and has enlisted the help of Lily Allen, Pharrell Williams, and Snoop Dogg, to lend a helping hand.
