The Backstreet Boys are no longer travelling to Sun City to perform at the POSI+IVE Festival this week-end, due to band member, Howie Dorough's father being critically ill. The band has decided to be with Howie at this important time and hope to come back to South Africa soon to perform together as a group which will be their first time in the country.

Tickets already purchased will be refunded at Computicket with immediate effect.

But instead of the boyband Grammy Award winning R&B star, Kelly Rowland will step into the limelight at the POSI+IVE Festival on Saturday 14 June at 8pm.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket from R195 to R295.

Rowland will also do a cameo performance at the Mercedes Benz POSI+IVE Rocks extravaganza on Friday 13 June 2008.

She rose to fame with the success of Destiny’s Child during the late '90s, with her cousin and good friend, Beyoncé Knowles. During that time, Destiny's Child catapulted into the new millennium as one of the best-selling female musical groups in history.

Rowland is a firm advocate of Aids relief and along with other international celebrities, including Sun International’s glamour girl Charlize Theron, Avril Lavigne, and John Mayer, featured in ads for the "ALDO Fights Aids" campaign. Kelly also teamed up with Kanye West, Nelly Furtado and Snoop Dogg to raise awareness about Aids.
