Matthew Reid, well-know clarinet performer and member of the highly rated string ensemble, Camerata Tinta Barocca, will be performing at the La Motte Estate in Franschhoek on Friday, 30 October 2009.
Matthew is a well-known name in classic music circles, having been awarded the prize for the best classical music performance at the 2008 National Arts Festival in Oudtshoorn.
The Camerata Tinta Barocca is conducted by Quentin Crida and they will be performing Mozart's Clarinet Concert according to the composer?s own transcription for a smaller group of musicians.
Rossini's Sonata for Strings in G Major will also be performed and both pieces, with the rest of the programme, will be presented in La Motte's historical cellar.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste some of La Motte's world-famous wines upon arrival, and finger dinner will be served at the end of the concert.
The concert starts at 7pm and entrance is R125 per person. La Motte is situated on the R45 just outside Franschhoek, approximately 45 minutes drive from Cape Town.
