The Santam 94.5 Kfm KDay music festival is right around the corner with a line-up that includes the multiple SAMA winning Freshlyground, who've recently been nominated for two MTV Africa Music Awards.
Sharing the stage with the internationally acclaimed band are legends like Johnny Clegg and Dr Victor, as well as chart-topping acts Watershed, Flat Stanley, Karen Zoid, The Parlotones, Thabo Mdluli, Jamali, Emo Adams, Jody Williams and Denim.
KDay is being billed as an opportunity for families to get out and do something together — think picnic blankets, umbrellas and camping chairs on the Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West. Kids are kept happy with a dedicated play area — and of course everyone gets to listen to SA's top sounds.
The show starts at 11am and runs through until 7pm. Tickets are R130. Kids under 12 cost R70.
Free parking is available at the estate, and vendors will be selling food at the venue. No alcohol or glass bottles will be allowed into the venue. And braais/barbecues or open flames are a no-no.
