Three R&B greats — Donell Jones, Carl Thomas and Angie Stone — hit the Coca-Cola Dome on Women's Day.

The I Am Woman Experience takes place on Friday 8 August 2008 at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg. Headlining the show are Donell Jones and Grammy Award nominee Carl Thomas. Joining them on stage is Angie Stone.

Jones, who released his debut album in 1996, began to establish himself as an R&B hit maker with 1999's, 'Where I Wanna Be'. The album yielded the number-one hits 'U Know What's Up' and 'Shorty Got Her Eyes on Me'. Since then he has released two more albums which have spawned singles like 'You Know That I Love You' and 'I'm Gonna Be'.

Thomas, in turn, has worked with the likes of Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, and the late Gerald Levert and was nominated for a Grammy Award for 'Everyday (Family Reunion)' from the soundtrack of Tyler Perry's 'Madea's Family Reunion'. The man who released his third album last year is equally well-known for his breakout hit 'I Wish'.

And, like most R&B stars, Stone started singing gospel music in her church and later formed part of a female hip-hop trio called The Sequence. Before achieving solo success she sang backing vocals on Lenny Kravitz's fifth album and collaborated with 'D’Angelo' on two albums. Apart from her three albums, Stone has appeared in the sitcom 'Girlfriends', the film 'The Fighting Temptations' and the musical 'Chicago'.

Tickets to the I Am Woman Experience are on sale at Computicket with general admission tickets at R180, golden circle tickets at R500 and VIP tickets at R700. Pampering session tickets are also available.
