It's official! Lady Gaga will be performing two shows in South Africa later this year!
The star is bringing her Born This Way Ball to the country for two shows only – one in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town.
Supporting the The Edge of Glory superstar on the European – and now South African leg – of the tour will be British rock band The Darkness – best known for their hit I Believe in a Thing Called Love – and Gaga's longtime performance partner and DJ, Lady Starlight.
The South African tour will kick off on 30 November with a performance at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, before a performance at the Cape Town Stadium on 3 December.
According to Big Concerts, tickets go on sale online only for both Johannesburg and Cape Town on 19 June, and will be available on www.computicket.com from 9am.

Tickets will only be available at Computicket outlets and via the Computicket call center starting Thursday, 21 June (9am) for Johannesburg, and Friday, 22 June (9am) for Cape Town. Exclusive tour packages will also be available for sale from www.computicket.com.
According to Big Concerts, tickets for both shows will range from R315 to R715. Ticket details and seating plans can be viewed here.
About the show, the Hong Kong Daily News wrote "Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball is effortlessly brilliant in both the visual and musical sense," while Seoul Daily said that with her "splendid and unprecedented stage, she is the absolute queen of pop!" Bangkok Business Newspaper declared that the Born This Way Ball "is a PHENOMENON!"
The Mother Monster said: "The Haus of Gaga and I have worked for months conceiving a spectacular stage.
"The Born This Way Ball is an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame. How we were birthed and how we will die celebrating.”
The star will perform hits from her latest album Born This Way, as well as from her albums Fame and The Fame Monster.
