Mean Mr Mustard will perform in Honeydew, in western Johannesburg, on Friday night in honour of their late bass player Fred Hayward.
Hayward died on Saturday night after a show in Port Elizabeth.
It is understood he had a heart attack but an autopsy is being done to confirm the cause of death.
His funeral will take place on Friday followed by a performance by the remaining band members.
Mean Mr Mustard’s Garth Potterton said the music must go on.
“We obviously have commitments which are contractual and we cannot get out of those commitments and Fred wouldn’t have wanted us to cancel shows so we will be carrying on with whatever commitments we have and Friday night will in a way be a tribute to Freddy," said Potterton.
