Patricia Lewis is weighing up her options to try to save her singing career.

The musician is due to have surgery to remove non-cancerous tumours on her thyroid.

The surgery could possibly damage her vocal chords but she has since decided to look into other alternatives.

Lewis said since the news broke she has received information from callers and emails telling her to investigate a different route.

"It's life changing that there are other options and it’s exhilarating. I'll most definitely take a look at any option that is available to me before I go for the last resort which is the operation," she told Eyewitness News on Wednesday.
