On 11 June 2009 Arno Carstens will embark on an eight-date tour through Germany, France and Luxembourg as support act for rock legends, Simple Minds.
While in the UK, he will also perform on the main stage at the award winning Isle of Wight Festival, sharing the stage with The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Stereophonics, Razorlight, Neil Young and The Pixies.
During the UK summer of 2008, Carstens performed support for Celine Dion during her five-date tour of the UK, and The Police in Germany and London as well as Paul Weller, Starsailor, Suzanne Vega and Meatloaf. In addition, he performed at all the major UK festivals, including Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, T in The Park, Oxygen and both the V Festivals.
During 2008, he also completed work on his third solo album, which is due for international release later this year, his first solo release in four years. The album was written and recorded in both London and Spain, during an eight-month period and features input from British producers Youth (The Verve's 'Urban Hymns') and Jim Duguid (Paulo Nutini's 'These Streets').
