The reigning ‘King Of Pop’ Michael Jackson is set to return to the stage next year for a colossal comeback tour.

The ‘Billie-Jean’ singer has flown to Los Angeles to discuss the details of the upcoming tour, which is rumoured, to be a 30-date tour spread over 30 cities around the globe.

Jackson is presently based in Las Vegas and is recording brand new music for his upcoming album. He was said to be in negotiations to follow in the footsteps of Cher and Celine Dion by taking up residency at one of Sin City’s top casinos but has chosen to do a more elaborate world tour instead as he would prefer more of his fans to see the show.

A close source revealed: “Michael said he wasn’t doing a Vegas residency but was going on a world tour, taking in 30 cities next year.”

The singer’s career dwindled into obscurity during 2005 when he was involved in child abuse allegations and has subsequently been troubled financially.

The huge tour may be just the thing to stage a career comeback and put Michael back on the musical map.
