A Parlotones show has always been a celebration. Now, a Parlotones show is a greatest hits celebration.

The Parlotones live DVD/CD album, 'Unplugged' is exactly that. All the chart toppers that took 'Radio Controlled Robot' to gold and the current smash 'A World Next Door To Yours' to platinum status are presented in a unique acoustic, energetic style: 'I'll Be There', 'Giant Mistake', 'Colourful', 'Beautiful', 'Funny Face' — with 'Lisa se Klavier' adding a special touch to the performance.

Certain songs have been arranged and enhanced specifically for the 2008 Emperor's Palace show's 'unplugged' format. African Pennywhistle sensations Kwela Tebsa feature alongside opera singer Sarah Cantrell. Orchestral strings, courtesy Jean-Louise Nel and Lani Van Der Merwe, are augmented by Robert Davidson's additional keyboards. Extra percussion is highlighted by military marching drummers, Steve Buchanan from the African Skye Pipe Band and Wonderboom's Danny de Wet.

The DVD includes a behind the scenes documentary of the band in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom featuring interviews, sound checks, rare live footage and "on the road chaos" as The Parlotones continue to take their music to the global masses.
