Noel Gallagher was attacked while performing at the Virgin Mobile V Festival at the weekend.
The Oasis rocker was in the midst of 1995 hit 'Morning Glory' at Sunday's gig when an unnamed man pushed his way on to the stage and shoved Gallagher from behind, causing him to crash into the sound equipment in front of him.
The 41-year-old star's brother and bandmate Liam launched a counter-attack on the crazed 'fan', before the group left the stage in order for Noel to receive medical treatment.
Oasis continued their set after a ten-minute break, before Noel was taken to hospital with a suspected broken rib and ligament damage.
A spokesperson said in The Daily Star: "Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers.
"Despite his injuries he returned to the stage a few minutes later to complete the band?s set but was taken to hospital after the show."
Got something to say?
