The Spice Girls have been asked to perform on Prince Charles' 60th birthday.

ITV is organising a show for the Prince, who will be celebrating his birthday on 14 November.

Prince Charles is more than happy to comply with these plans for his big day, and has indicated that he would like Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones and Status Quo to perform.

He has more notably expressed the desire that the Spice Girls reunite and perform for him. Prince Charles has a long history with the girl band, as Geri Halliwell performed for his 50th birthday.

An ITV source told the Daily Express: "Prince Charles' 60th is going to be a huge party.

"It will be done with all the style expected for a royal occasion, but with a certain sense of humour.

"We're certainly hoping to get the Spice Girls back together. It's hoped they will do it because it will be a lot of fun. Other acts Charles likes include Status Quo, Tom Jones and even Kylie so we're trying to get them to sign up.

"We're going to pull out all the stops to make it a right royal and very British extravaganza."
