Yet another actor/singer from the Disney stable, Demi Lovato follows in the footsteps of 'Hannah Montana' and the 'High School Musical' crowd. First noticed on 'Camp Rock' alongside the Jonas Brothers, she's now taking on the music industry.
And like her precocious predecessors, the 17-year-old gives her all on debut album 'Don't Forget', co-writing most of the tracks.
Upbeat and fun, the collection will get you grooving in no time. The bouncy 'La La Land' is about an imaginary place where you are free to be who you are without society's expectations.
The upbeat 'Party', as its name suggests, will definitely get the party started. And she does a beautiful duet with the Jonas Brothers entitled 'On the Line' — a telephone conversation between a couple.
She tones in down a little on 'Don't Forget' — a love song urging the ex not to forget the love that they once shared.
'Gonna Get Caught' bumps up the energy again, while singalong-for-the-girls 'Until You're Mine' has her chasing after a boy and won't rest until she gets him.
My personal favourite 'Trainwreck' finds her in love with a messed up guy but she loves him the way he is, proving that opposites do attract.
She may be the latest product off the Disney conveyor belt but, having set high standards with her own songwriting, Lovato should be able to make it on her own once 'Camp Rock' shuts down.
