Not content with a summer residency at super-club Pacha Ibiza, performing alongside the likes of Fedde le Grande, Will.I.Am, Basement Jaxx and Faithless, Goldfish return from stops in Dubai, Amsterdam and Moscow to party across South Africa.

It's been something of a landmark year for the duo of Dominic Peters and David Poole. Apart from securing a deal with the international club and lifestyle brand Pacha and signing with SonyBMG in South Africa, an international tour has seen them collect passport ink from the US, Brazil, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, Russia, Dubai and Egypt. Along the way they've taken over the reigns of BBC1 DJ legend Pete Tong to mix the sixth installment of the internationally released 'Pure Pacha', as well as cracked the nod to remix Bob Marley's iconic 'I Shot the Sheriff'.

And at home, their second album 'Perceptions of Pacha' continues to sell on the back of 'This Is How It Goes', the single that still holds the title for the most played South African Song on radio this year.

Now, as they gear up to take up residency at La Med in Camps Bay for their popular 'Submerged Sundays' summer shows, we chat all things Fish with one half of the dynamic duo, Dominic Peters.

How the devil are you?

So happy to be home! It's a beautiful day in Cape Town and we've just got back from freezing Moscow. We had a blast as always, but Cape Town is still the best place on earth.

Do you think you're a celebrity?

What a question! I don't think either of us ever want to be one. Dave and I are just guys who like to make good music and that is what makes us happy. If people like what we do, we're stoked, but we're not in this for anything else.

Being a 'celebrity' just rots you anyway. There's a saying I read once and I've always remembered it: 'It used to be special people who were famous, now it's the famous people who are special.'

Having said that, [affects Cape Town accent] everyone is special man...

It's my round — what are you drinking?

Depends what time of day it is! Morning: green tea, afternoon: probably a cold beer, 2am: a Tequila Redbull! Although sometimes that order gets switched round a little...

What's in your pocket right now?

My Nokia N95 8GB cellphone — the iPhone just doesn't compare yet... sorry!

Pick five words to describe yourself:

Happy, tolerant, evolving, musician, surfer.

You meet a nice lady — what's your opening line?

Geez... you're asking the wrong guy... I'm rubbish with this sort of stuff!

How do you get the party started?

Press play!

If you didn't play tunes what would you do?

I'd travel the world and try experience as much of this amazing planet as possible. It's all out there waiting for us.

You're having a dinner party. Name four famous people you'd invite?

Ooh, that is a tough one. Don Miguel Ruiz, Kelly Slater, John Lennon, and Jacob Zuma just to spice things up a little. I hope everyone likes sushi because that's what we're having. Extra Wasabi for JZ.

Who was the last person you punched?

I've never punched anybody — hope I never do. Just don't ask us to play the 'Macarena'. There is always a first time.

When was the last time you cried?

A couple of weeks ago!

Are you superstitious?

No.

Did you meet anyone famous in Ibiza?

Too many to mention! But the one that stands out was when this blonde guy in a Speedo came up to me at a villa party saying he was loving our music and was a fan of Goldfish. Turned out it was Simon le Bon from Duran Duran! That was pretty surreal.

What are your fears?

Fear is false evidence appearing real.

Your all-time greatest musician and song?

That's an impossible question but anything by the Beatles will always be up there — those guys songs are still relevant today. Having said that, 'Breathe' by Telepopmusik is still one of my favourite tracks and I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't go out and buy the album after I play it to them.

What advertising slogan would best describe you?

What, like an existing one? 'Only a surfer knows the feeling' — it's true!
