The first official teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated new James Bond film has landed.
Daniel Craig is back for his third turn as the iconic spy in Skyfall, the 23rd film in the Bond franchise and the first to be directed by Sam Mendes.
The teaser trailer for the film kicks off with Bond in an interrogation room, playing a word association game and being watched through the glass by his boss, M (Judi Dench) and Mallory, a government agent played by Ralph Fiennes.
The trailer also features flashes of footage, including a line of coffins draped in flags, a massive train derailment and a glimpse of what is thought to be Bond's new enemy, being played by Javier Bardem.
"Some men are coming to kill us," Bond says as the trailer reaches its climax. "We're going to kill them first."
While plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, the plot of Skyfall involves a test of Bond’s loyalty to M "as her past comes back to haunt her". Additionally, Bond's outfit, MI6, is attacked and "007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."
Skyfall is due for release this November.
