From Steven Soderbergh comes this offbeat true-life tale starring Matt Damon as the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower in U.S. history.

A rising star at agricultural giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Mark Whitacre suddenly decides to blow the whistle on what he sees as top end multinational illegal price fixing. Whitacre takes this bold move not through some noble sense of justice, but in the hopes of gaining a lucrative promotion whilst at the same time becoming a hero for the common people.

However, while Whitacre provides the FBI with all manner of information to help them make their case, he also inadvertently uncovers his own secret penchant for helping himself to the company coffers.

Whitacre's ever-changing account frustrates the Federal agents as they realize that he isn't the saintly figure he first made himself out to be and threatens the case against ADM as it becomes almost impossible to decipher what is real and what is the product of Whitacre's rambling imagination.
