This week, the much-anticipated 'Up' opens on South African screens. The computer-animated film from Pixar faces stiff competition from 'The Time Traveler's Wife', based on a best-selling novel, and the sequel to the 2006 action movie 'Crank'.

Picking up where the 2006's 'Crank' left off, 'High Voltage' finds Chev surviving the climactic plunge to a most certain death on the streets of L.A. only to be kidnapped by a mysterious Chinese mobster.

Months later, Chev wakes up to discover his heart has been surgically removed and replaced with a battery-operated ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity in order to work.

After a dangerous escape from his captors Chev is on the run again, this time from the charismatic Mexican gang boss El Huron, and the Chinese Triads headed by the dangerous 100-year-old elder Poon Dong.

Once again turning to Doc Miles for medical advice, receiving help from his friend Kaylo's twin brother Venus, and re-connecting with his girlfriend Eve, Chev is determined to get his real heart back and wreak vengeance on whoever stole it, embarking on a chase through Los Angeles where anything goes to stay alive.

The Wayans clan are back in full force with a comedic take on dance movies with no fewer than seven of the Wayans involved.

The film follows Megan White, a privileged girl from the suburbs who dreams of going to the world famous Julliard School to train as a dancer.

But fate intervenes and during her audition at the institution her mother is killed in a car accident. Forced to move to a distant city to her destitute father's rundown apartment, Megan feels as though her dream has died.

However, upon enrolling at Musical High, Megan meets Thomas, a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks whose dream of becoming a world-famous dancer mirrors that of Megan's. They connect and they face their dream together as they try to bring the ultimate dance crew together to win $5,000 at the local dance contest that will buy them a ticket into a good dance school.

Tato and Beto are two brothers living a hard life of manual labour in rural Mexico, who have a simple dream of saving enough money to build their mother her dream house.

But fate has other plans for the pair; a friendly game of soccer leads to first one brother, then the other being taken on by the nation's top talent scout, Batuta, and gives rise to the first of many emotional head to heads between brothers.

Suddenly, they find themselves living the high life of star athletes - fame, riches, fast cars, and beautiful women. But every dream has a dark side, and when they are forced to compete on rival teams, bitterness brews between them.

In the end, all will ride on the one big game between their two clubs. Tato and Beto must face each other on the pitch but also reunite again as brothers before they lose everything they had once dreamed of.
