J.J. Abrams has chosen to produce an as-yet-untitled film with the help of Bad Robot's Bryan Burk.

The project was recently picked up by Paramount, who was pitched the film by screenwriters Aline Brosh McKenna and Simon Kinberg.

It might be awhile before the plot gets revealed, as neither Paramount nor Bad Robot are willing to divulge any information.

McKenna has written such romantic comedies as '27 Dresses' and 'The Devil Wears Prada' while Kinberg has a background in action with his scripts for 'X-Men: The Last Stand', 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith', and the forthcoming 'Sherlock Holmes'.

"These two writers couldn't be more different. The genres they write seem almost diametrically opposed. But they came to Bad Robot with a pitch that got us salivating," Abrams said.
