Jerry Bruckheimer's production company has asked Sean O'Keefe and Will Staples to write the script for the bigscreen adaptation of Lorenzo Carcaterra's novel 'Apaches'.
The project has been in development with Bruckheimer since 1997.
According to Variety, "the script for 'Apaches' will be loosely based on the gritty crime novel that revolves around a group of retired New York City cops who form a renegade unit to bring down the most vicious criminals in Gotham."
If 'Apaches' proves successful, there might be another film on its way, as author Carcaterra followed up the novel with 'Chasers'.
