The duo responsible for the Brad Pitt thriller 'Seven' will be re-teaming for a re-make of 'The Reincarnation of Peter Proud'.
The re-adaptation of the Max Ehrlich novel will be directed by David Fincher, while Andrew Kevin Walker will be responsible for the script.
Author Ehrlich took it upon himself to adapt his own novel into a film, with both released in 1975. The original film starred Michael Sarrazin and Margot Kidder, and saw J. Lee Thompson at the helm.
According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision, the story "centres on a college professor who begins having recurring dreams and nightmares and, realising they are images of a past life, decides to search out the source of the visions. With his girlfriend in tow, he discovers a woman and her grown-up daughter who are keys to his past life. The supernatural thriller drew heat for a subplot involving incest."
Fincher is also the director onboard 'The Social Network', which is set to star Justin Timberlake, and focus on the growing phenomenon of Facebook.
