'Twilight' actress Ashley Greene is in talks to star in Joel Silver's 'The Apparition'.

The script is inspired by real events, and revolves around a couple who, during a college experiment, unleashed a supernatural presence. The presence continues to haunt them, and the film will explore their experience.

Production is due to start on 1 February and according to Variety it will be written and directed by Todd Lincoln.

Greene can next be seen 'Twlight: New Moon', as she reprises her role of the sister of Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen character.
