Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris and Rodrigo Santoro are currently in negotiations with the makers of 'Ice Age' to lend their voices to the animated film 'Rio'.

According to Variety, the film from Blue Sky Studios, Fox Animation and director Carlos Saldanha "follows the adventures of a nerdy macaw who lights out from his small-town Minnesota cage for the exotic Summer Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro".

Just like it's 'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs' counterpart, 'Rio' will also be filmed in 3D digital animation.

Blue Sky Studios are hoping for an April 2011 release date.
