The Star Wars franchise has lost yet another filmmaker in the form of Jurassic World director, Colin Trevorrow.
In a statement published on StarWars.com, it was announced that Trevorrow will no longer be helming Star Wars Episode 9 which is set for release in May 2019.
The statement cites creative differences as the reasoning behind Trevorrow’s departure.
"Lucasfilm and Colin Trevorrow have mutually chosen to part ways on Star Wars: Episode IX. Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon."
