For her next project, Brie Larson will play the first female US presidential candidate.
Deadline reports that the Oscar award-winning actress will headline the film "Victoria Woodhull" for Amazon Studios.
Woodhull was a suffragist who became the first woman to run and be nominated for President of the United States in 1872, more than 40 years before women had the right to vote.
The film traces the woman's rags to riches beginnings bilking crowds with her sisters with bogus spiritual demonstrations, to becoming a trailblazing politician with big ambitions.
Brett Ratner is attached to direct.
