I don't really think Jennifer Aniston is going to get that much richer or more famous dating John Mayer. She might find, though, that clumps of her brain cells start to die off unexpectedly. I do at least have to hand it to Mayer that he's not hiding his hooking-up-with-Aniston light under any kind of bushel.

In a refreshing break from the typical "we're, like, totally just friends" ? friends who go out on dates and hold hands and make out all the time... ? John happily 'fessed up to his budding romance with Jen.

"You know what I did? I looked at it [the tabloids] and I said: 'That's about right'," says a bold Mayer. "What am I going to say: 'That's not me?'"

Yeah, well, tell your famous friends!

Oddly enough ? still no wild desire to admire Amy Winehouse seems to be welling up in me. Perhaps the constant reported drug-use may have something to do with it. It might also have something to do with her just being arrested. Word from the beehived singer's rep is that: "Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year."

The video allegedly stars Amy making friends with a number of illegal substances.

Now Dina Lohan, on the other hand, isn't just a fine, upright, law-abiding citizen who appears more than happy to ruin her children's lives by pushing them towards stardom ? no, she's all that and so much more. She's also the recent recipient of an award for parenting!

Yes, I am in deadly earnest. Long Island, New York's Mingling Moms networking group actually honoured the fame-grubbing mother of Lindsay Lohan ? the same woman who's about to star in a reality show about her attempting to get her remaining kids into show business.

And it gets better! Lindsay's dad (remember, he's the one who just got let out of jail after serving a sentence for fraud) Michael was reportedly enraged to hear about Dina's award ? because, he claims, at the time when she was being given the thing she was scheduled to be at a family counselling session. That's a court-ordered therapy session ? part of the wonderful, ongoing bitter custody dispute between the Lohan parents.

People may be sceptical about Britney's little teenaged sister's decision to have a baby so young ? but, honestly, could she possibly do a worse job with her girl when she's born?
