Well, Lionel Richie has found out everything his rather, er, wild young daughter Nicole has got up to — from drugs to booze to being Paris Hilton's BFF. But, he's still sticking by her. In fact, he's super keen to make sure that her and her man Joel Madden's baby will be born into the good life. Nothing's too good for Lionel's grandchild.

So, what's he bought the glowing mother-to-be? A luxurious new pushchair? A year's worth of nanny services? Or… a $7 million (more than R46 million) house.

According to a source, Nicole "recently leased out her West Hollywood condo and, while she likes living at Joel's bachelor pad in Glendale [California], she doesn't want to raise her baby in the Valley." Because, you know, that's only for, like, common people.

"Nicole wants to live close to both of her parents while she gets ready to have the baby. Lionel wants Nicole to be safe, and he thinks that a gated community is best." Indeed. Hmm, I wonder if being hopelessly spoilt ever had some kind of negative effect on Nic?

On to Nic's even more paparazzi-loving chum — who else but Paris? Latest is that the celebrity socialite is toying with the idea of subjecting herself to the latest season of the show 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!' Publicity-hungry celebs battling it out in the jungle and breaking down under the harsh realities of actually having to do stuff for themselves — what's not to like?

Even more appealing for Hilton is that she's reportedly being offered $1-million (more than R6.5-million) to sign up. "She's terrified of bugs and snakes," reveals an insider, "but she is willing to give this a go to show the world that she isn't just a party animal."

"Appearing in the jungle is hard work — it's really tough, especially for someone like Paris, so she wants to be well rewarded." My heart bleeds for that austere, frugal-living little heiress.

Finally, dismissal from camp-Katie Holmes that she's expecting another baby with Tom Cruise.

And the reason she had to issue this denial? Because she recently wore a bulky Balenciaga dress while in Berlin. Sheesh, this woman just can't catch a wardrobe break. Time to get a stylist who can manage to make a reedy star look, uh, not big enough to be pregnant. Surely there must be one available in Tinseltown?
