What I can tell you, though, is that Bar believes that, "This is one of the best things that's ever happened to me." One can but feel that DiCarprio must be doing something very wrong.
On the topic of 'very wrong': Courtney Love's love life.
I don't think I've ever really recovered from that news that the inspired British comic actor Steve Coogan once hooked up with her ? so much so, that there was even brief speculation that she was having his child.
Courtney is, I should hastily assure you, not rumoured to be having anyone's child just at the moment. But she is rumoured to be dating... Mickey Rourke.
My first instinct was horror that Love would date the walking cautionary tale against over zealous cosmetic surgery that is Rourke. But then I recalled, well, Courtney.
Love and Rourke have apparently been dating on the DL since he SMSed her last month to ask her out. It's been a damn good year so far for Mickey, what with dating Elle mag's lastest Woman of the Year (yup, Love) and all the Oscars buzz for his stand-out performance in 'The Westler'.
If Rourke hasn't exactly aged gracefully, the same definitely can't be said about the preternaturally luminous Michelle Pfieffer, who just turned 50.
No half-century horrors for Michelle, who remarks: "If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 ? and I was surprised at how liberating it was." And, for those of you dreading any big birthday with an '0' on the end: "The anticipation of something is always much worse than the reality," reassures Pfeiffer.
Even notoriously aging-actress-uncongenial Hollywood is treating this movie star well. "It seems that my leading men just keep getting younger the older I get. It seems that people have an aversion to casting people of the same age ? luckily for me."
It's the Sean Connery dynamic, only in non-disturbing form. (Who ever could forget him laying his wizened hands on Catherine Zeta-Jones in 'Entrapment'? Skin crawling.)
And, finally, some news that's left me feeling pretty ambivalent, really.
Two of the original 'Grey's Anatomy' stars are definitely leaving the huge hit series, according to James Pickens, Jr. ? who co-stars as the Chief of Surgery at Seattle Grace. Katherine Heigl, who plays as Izzie Stevens, and TR Knight, who plays George O'Malley, are heading off to greener pastures, it seems.
Sad to see them go? Me, I'm not going to be crying over Izzie's departure. Heigl's long been unhappy with her character's screen-time compared to her fellow stars, but the ghastly story-arc she's been written into this latest season... So's not to spoil it for you, let me just say that I wouldn't rush to grab the paddles if her character started coding.
And the loveably bumbling George? Ja, well, there's only so much adorable ditziness one can enjoy, before it starts to become irritating. Frankly, I've reached the point where I want to reach in there and slap him.
