During Theatre Week a visibly nervous Dave — who was shaking like a leaf — sang Stardust Galaxies, accompanied by the Parlotones. But judge Gareth Cliff loved it, raving, "You are dangerous on stage! It is impossible not to watch you!"

Dave sang Kings of Leon's Sex is on Fire for the Top 10 Spectacular, with Unathi proclaiming, "This is your competition to lose, Davey-Dave!"
