Forget Jim Carrey, Steve Carell is the superstar of American humour. And when he teams up with Anne Hathaway in a spy comedy, the result is one of the year's most anticipated blockbusters: 'Get Smart'.

It hits South African screens on 2 July 2008 but thanks to Nu Metro you'll be able to see it a week before — on 26 June — at our free sneak preview screenings in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

So what are you getting to see?

Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is no James Bond. He's not suave, smart or sophisticated. But he's on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as Kaos.

When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway).

As Smart and 99 get closer to unravelling Kaos' master plan — and each other — he must defeat the evil organisation if he is to save the day; armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his unbridled enthusiasm.

Based on the classic 1960s US TV series created by comedy genius Mel Brooks, the 'Get Smart' film is directed by Peter Segal (who gave us 'The Longest Yard' and 'Tommy Boy') and was written by the guys who gave us the Matthew McConaughey- Sarah Jessica Parker comedy 'Failure to Launch'.

See it at Canal Walk in Cape Town or Hyde Park in Johannesburg at 8pm on 26 June 2008. Simply enter your name and contact details to see 'Get Smart' first — and for free. Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, so get your entry in now.
