The giant robots are back. So are the fast cars, the huge explosions, the stupendous special effects, and Megan Fox in her tight top and short shorts.

As to be expected critics weren't too kind, but fans of big, loud action movies have rushed to see it.

"The 400 critics around the globe spoke. Then fans around the world spoke," director Michael Bay acknowledged on his website on opening day, 24 June 2009.

"Transformers made $60.6 million dollars in the United States for a total of around $100 million from the world on opening day! One of the biggest single days in movie history," revealed the man who is no stranger to excess.

"Then (sic) never seem to understand that I make movies for people to take a ride and escape.

"To all the Transformer Fans - Thank You," concluded the director who had similar overblown successes with 'Bad Boys'.

But what's this film that's caused such a fuss all about?

Playing out two years after the Autobots defeated the Decepticons with the help of Sam Witwicky and Megan, the evil robots are planning to resurrect their fallen leader Megatron and fire up an ancient machine called the Sun Harvester that will power the life-giving Allspark. Oh, and destroy the earth.

Incorporating 40 new computer generated characters, better visuals, the latest cars from GM and locations as diverse as Egypt and France, 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' is the year's biggest sequel.

To coincide with its release, we're giving away a special film merchandise hamper courtesy of UIP. To stand a chance of winning, simply answer this question:
