For two nights only Howard Marks, ex M16 agent and formerly the world's biggest dope dealer, will be hosting two exclusive engagements in South Africa.
At the height of his career he was smuggling consignments of up to 50 tons of marijuana and had contact with organisations as diverse as M16, the CIA, the IRA and the Mafia. Following a worldwide operation by the Drug Enforcement Agency, he was arrested and sentenced to 25 years in one of America’s toughest prisons.
During the mid 1980s Howard Marks had 43 aliases, 89 phone lines and owned 25 companies operating throughout the world. Bars, recording studios, offshore bank accounts — all were money laundering vehicles serving the core activity: dope dealing.
His experiences were recounted in the autobiography 'Mr. Nice'.
These special South African shows will feature the best-selling author and award-winning columnist talking about remarkable experiences, reading from his autobiography, and answering audience questions.
In addition, he will also be doing two book signing sessions at Exclusive Books outlets.
