Standard Bank will extend the Johannesburg run of 'Picasso and Africa' by one week due to the enormous public interest and the success of the exhibition.

'Picasso and Africa' will now close at the Standard Bank Gallery on March 25 before it relocates to Cape Town to open at the Iziko South African National Gallery April 13.

Featuring 84 works by Picasso and 29 classical African sculptures from South African collections similar to those that the artist collected, or that might have influenced him, 'Picasso and Africa' opened at the Standard Bank Gallery February 10.

The exhibition runs from February 8 to March 25 in Joburg then moves to Cape Town from April 13.
